You can now register to vote and apply for a postal vote by fax, email, or post. Just remember to sign the form.

The electoral register is the list of everyone who is entitled to vote. It is updated every year using details from the registration form you receive each Autumn from your local council. But now there is rolling registration, which means the register is updated every month.

Additional information is available by using the right-hand menu. You are also entitled to a postal vote. Postal votes can be set up on a permanent basis, for a set period, or as a one-off in advance of any election. If you would like further details on postal voting, please visit http://www.postalvotes.co.uk/

For your convenience, you now have the right to vote by post. New arrangements allow anyone who is on the Register of Electors to apply for a postal vote at any election. Different rules apply in Northern Ireland.

You can ask for a one-off postal vote in advance of any election. Alternatively, you can ask for an automatic postal vote on a permanent basis or for a set period.

If you are not registered to vote, you can now register to vote throughout the year. If you would like further details on rolling registration please visit http://www.rollingregistration.co.uk/.
